Hilary Swank plays Amelia Mary Earhart, the female aircraft enthusiast and pilot - the first woman to fly across the Atlantic (1932), and a symbol of women empowerment and gender equality. In 1937, she famously dissaperaed over the Atlantic while trying to fly across the world in a Lockheed L-10 Electra. You may have seen a recent History Channel special program retracing Amelia's last few hours of flight to try to guess where the wrekage may be.

Amelia is the author of the books "20 Hours 40 Minutes" and "The Fun Of it".

Mira Nair is an Indian-American film maker, born in Rourkella, Orissa, India and living in New York. She is the director of the erotic adaptation Kama Sutra (1996) of the timeless Indian guide to having sex, as well as criticsally acclaimed cross-culture themed movies Mississipi Masala, Salaam Bombay, Monsoon Wedding and so on.
